Although the Film Reference Library has rich materials in other areas as well, we're best known for our extensive Canadian film resources. We've put together some highlights that will provide newcomers with a primer on our Canadian collection in selected areas and help other users key in on particular information.

In celebration of the Toronto International Film Festival's 25th Anniversary in 2000, Festival audiences were treated to ten original short films by pre-eminent Canadian filmmakers.  The Preludes directors were challenged to produce a short film inspired by the Festival.  Click here to for more information and to view the Preludes films. 

The Passport to Canadian Cinema is a comprehensive guide to Canadian cinema at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. Reflecting the Festival's strong support of Canadian film programming, the Passport allows film buyers and fans alike to appreciate the broad range of films now being produced in Canada.
